I went with just a heater shirt in chattanooga twice this week.... I would say give it a couple weeks and you would be comfortable in trunks

I'll be going out this weekend also but the lake is still 49 degrees according to the Corp's website and I don't see a couple of days in the 70s is going to warm it up enough for me not to bring the drysuit.

Too cold fellas!! For boardshorts only I prefer air 70+ and water 60+, so for me the water is usually good to go by mid-April. Other than that- it depends on your gear and your tolerance to pain!!

You can use these websites to check water temps. They update regularly, maybe twice a week..

mcfatty,

I'll be back from colorado on Friday around noon, so if you go out this weekend let me know.

replicaracks,

It's not too cold to ride in trunks now...craig did it Jan. 1 out at station camp and I've seen a few others out there. When I went out last week it felt warm enough as well at Percy Priest.
