|
|
| I have a 20 ft bowrider with a 5.0 liter Volvo Penta SX drive and a tower and some ballast. I am thinking of spending the $$ for a Perfect Pass but not sure how well it will work. I have ridden/driven a buddies Inboard with it and it is great but worry the I/O will not perform as well. Any input for those who have installed them on thier own boats? |

There were a few posts back on this. But yeah, it should definitely be worthwhile, if infact you notice speed changes. _________________

it is worth the money but also make sure you prop down.. in general most people drop at least 2" in pitch and change to a 4 blade aluminum(I recommend-very cost effective) or a high five) _________________ www.midwestwakeboarder.com

| Worth it if you like the boat and are going to keep it for a while. If you plan on upgrading anytime soon, then it might not be worth it as most would be I/O buyers wouldn't appreciate the value of PP and doubt you would recoup much of your investment. |

I installed it on my Epic 22 (Toyota) inboard, huge improvement. With a relatively small motor, it has to move the throttle a lot more with the gobs of weight I run (2k) Assuming that you will drill a hole and put in the paddle wheel for accurate speed measurement, the only thing to consider performance-wise is the rpm adj required for a given increase/decrease in speed. Your boat has more torque than mine, it will work better on yours, and it works flawlessly on mine. BUY IT RIGHT NOW!! _________________ Silver Skurfer |

Id love to have it but the price is too expensive for a broke student like me It would make a huge difference for me when im riding as my driver isnt that excellent _________________

I think I will do it.....I hate to drill the big hole but really want the extra benifit of the paddlewheel feedback, so will go PPWP route. I have one excellent driver friend and about 3 that are...not so much. I am tired of getting crappy pulls and I don't really even ride behind boat with just me and the wife..she is not ....not good.......and I get too beat up getting slung around for her to practice enough to improve. |

| I have center bunks in addition to the main ones on my trailer and they are right where I have access to the interior space of the bildge...crap. Maybe I can make a large circulart hole in the cockpit sole and add a threaded cover but that would be ugly.....I don't think I want the cruise version without the ther paddle wheel. Wish they had a transom paddle wheel version like a depth sounder transducer. |
