does artificial decking work as an alternate to pvc? if not what is all of the stuff that i see in pictures and videos? thanks

I used this plastic artificial decking called geodeck. There are a ton of diffrent kinds out there. We sanded the ridges out and made it smooth and the stuff works great. We just added another twenty feet onto the end of our old slider.
