Hey guys I'm just getting into wakeboarding and i've noticed that on alot of the videos that i have been watching, the middle fin is off the board.

1. Can you do 180s on the water surface with the fin on? And like grind the wake or does it not allow any sway for 180s?

2. I am VERY serious about purchasing the OBRIEN Oasis with link bindings.....any info on that board?

3. I know that on that board, i can remove the center fin.....im concerned that when its off if won't ride as well as cause there is a groove in the center compared to a board without the middle fin in the first place. Any riders that have a middle fin and ride with it on or off?

Now i know ive written alot and am VERY thankful for all of your guys input. I've just signed up to this website and from what i've been reading, you guys seem cool and respectable!

THX AGAIN! Please let me hear what you guys think!

Yeah, riding without the center fin provides a much looser ride and a little more freedom. Fins help with tracking of the board for a faster edge and a little more response.

To answer your questions:
1. Yes. It just takes more effort. Every time I've tried to "grind" the wake, I've caught an edge.
2. If you're beginning, that would be a great board to go for, but I'd recommend the Diesel. A great board and I still ride it.
3. Without the fin, it will feel much looser, but you won't notice too much of a change unless you're butter sliding it up.
