hey guys!!!
Thankfully, it's about time to de-winterize the boat. I'm getting ready to put in an order for all the parts I'm going to need to get the boat ready for another 150h+ season Smile

It's a 1999 Moomba Outback that has been well maintained by it's previous owner.

So here's what I'm looking to do:
replace plugs and wires
replace air filter (it's a carb'ed 350 indmar)
fuel filter
air/water seperator
grease throtle and stearing

When I winterized it, I fogged the intake and cylinders...do I want to try to get the engine started with the old plugs in there first to burn the fogger oil in there? Anything else specific I need to keep in mind?

The oil should just burn off and leave no trace of itself after a few mins running. but i guess it would do not harm to use the old plugs to fire her up.. if they are going to pick up a trace of oil on the points then best if it son the old ones...

Then throw the fresh plugs in...

My manual says to change it and the filter every so often, but the filter is on the bottom right up against the bilge, and won't come out unless you remove the whole transmission, and that's not going to happen. WHat I do, though, is fill the transmission up to the very top when winterizing, and then take out the extra in the spring. I figure this kind of equates to a partial change.

The dealer I talked to said they almost never change tranny fluid, but that sounds a little fishy to me.
