|
|
I've been trying to put together a playlist that's pretty much free of lyrics, and is just chill music. Techno or otherwise, doesn't matter much. Here's all I've gotten so far:
Faithless - Drifting Away (Paradiso Mix)
Orbital - Halcyon & On & On
Radiohead - Idioteque (yeah, it has lyrics I guess)
Paul Oakenfold - Global Underground - Talisman and Hudson - Leave Planet Earth
Any other suggestions? What do you all have that's got a good beat and doesn't put you to sleep...but doesn't really seem to have a beginning or end (if that makes sense)? |

| I had it on there, actually...had Organ Donor. I pulled it off originally 'cuz of lyrics at the beginning, but I think I'll throw it back on...good call. Any other specific DJ Shadow songs? |

Idioteque is a frickin awesome song.
Try High Contrast, Tosca (slower style, but still good), and DJ Trance (awesome)
Also, my roommate's friend has made some awesome music. Heres a link to a site that carries his music. Definately check it out

Mike--
Check out ATB stuff. Super cool. There's a 2 disc set called "2 Worlds." Disc 2 is chill remixes of Disc 1. It's called "The Relaxing World." Super chill stuff. IM me when you get a chance and I'll send some to you.
If you like that kind of chill stuff you should also check out Chicane, also super chill.
For upbeat yet still chill and w/o lyrics look into Groove Armada, and the Boombox soundtrack is also good.
Lemme know if you wanna sample any of this or if you want any specific song names to DL. _________________ Garrett Cortese

Try The Mermen, west coast style music with a surfing influence, no lyrics, it's just jamming on the guitar. _________________ Thanks in Advance for the Help,

Any Dub Roots Reggae. Sly Dunbar, ASWAD, UROY. Pretty much all reggae artists have Dub albums/songs. Dub meaning no lyrics. The sickest dub album I've ever heard is called "Frontline in Dub" , a compilation disk by Frontline records.
Don't hear too much reggae in wake vids.
That all instumental Beastie Boys album is also awesome. "sounds from way out"? I think that's the name of it. |
