Hey, My cousin asked me what kind of board he should get. He is a big guy about 6'2" 205lbs and has been playing competetive hockey his whole life so he hasnt been able to do other fun stuff like wakeboard.

He graduated from College last year and started wakeboarded on his buddies "POS" board like everyone does. He says he wants to get a more advanced board. He is extremely athletic so i believe that he is ready.

I was thinking that a Hyperlite 141 Premire Biolite might be a good fit, but I dont know that much about it.

So if you guys could give 2 suggestions- One higher priced board (Like a liquid force, hyperlite or CWB) and One Lower price board (Like and Obrien)

That would be awesome.
Thanks guys

I say tell him to pick maybe 1-2 from each brand and demo them to find what works best for him. But I will offer a few that might work. I'd say size-wise any 140-142 or so would be just fine. For LF perhaps a Substance or Omega? Hyperlite Premier or State perhaps? Maybe a CWB Transcend or Absolute? I'm pretty much in the same boat as your friend, similar size and weight and looking for a new 140-142 size board, so I'm just throwing out a few that I'm looking at myself that may also work for him. There are plenty more out there worth a look though. I currently have an Obrien Science 138 but I want something else. I'm not very familiar with the Obrien line. Personally I'd say if you need to save money, go with an older model CWB, LF, or Hyperlite instead of a brand new cheaper board.
