Been boarding for awhile now, and watched lots of the pro's on dvds and just wondering what kind of speed they are doing-ish. I normaly board at 25mph

and how far back from the boat do they board? and does it make a difference? being closer apart from the distance between the wakes?

i dont know how much i can help here....with speed i imagine ur pretty close? im fairly sure the best speeds are 22-25 miles/h?.?.?...the rope on the other hand...i think that just depends on what skill level ur at...i have a 70 foot rope with 3x5 foot intervals...to position myself on a shorter wake gap till i get better...if ur any good id say just use the full length of the rope? again not sure....hope that sheds a little light

I generally ride in the 21-25mph range, or just whatever feels comfortable to me at the time. no idea what the pros ride at, but then again I'm nowhere near that level haha. But doubt I'll ever need to go any higher than 25mph. I would imagine most pros ride around the 25mph mark, but really don't know for sure.

For rope length I generally use the standard length wakeboard rope. When learning to first go wake to wake, I did shorten it a bit to make the wakes narrower to first start clearing both. But will be taking it back out to full length from now on.

Some of the pros ride at about 28 mph, thats tough, im riding 24-25 and thats plenty fast, as for length, i ride at 70 ft, some pros ride 80-90 ft. thats insane, but i guess the sweet spot is that far back at 28 mph.

behind most tourny level boats I ride 23mph at 75ft. behind my old ski nauty though I rode at 21 and 65ft cause there was no wake left at 75 ft. It all depends on the boat and skill level

in my oppinion how far back you ride all depends on the wake size so i ride bout 30 ft back, which is short, but i have a kayot, so you do what you can.
