Does someone owns a pair of LF Watson 06 ??

I want to get them, but I’m concerned about the size for this year.
Do they run small as most of boots models?

I’m shoe size 9.5 and I was thinking of getting those in size 10-11 (just in case).

If any one could help me with this, I’ll really appreciated.

I'd stick with the 9-10s. The Watson's are stupid easy to get on and are hands down the most comfortable binding my feet have had the pleasure of being in. I wear 11.5-12 shoes and I wiggled my foot into a 9-10 without even using my hands. If anything size down with the Watsons.

Thanks!!

So they don´t kill your feet after riding 15-20 minutes later?

I don't have mine...YET, but the pair I tried on felt almost like slippers. They are insanely comfortable! I can't imagine ever getting cramped up feet in them. If you snowboard pull the liners out of your boots and stick your feet into just the liner. That's what the Watsons feel like.

All of Lf's boots are super comfy. I put on a pair of Watsons and I wear a 12 in shoe size and a 10-11 was perfect. Awsome bindings you won't be dissapointed.

the Bonifay boot AND the Watson boot will pack out exactly like a snowboard boot would. so yeah, i'd say size down as much as possible. the Watson was really damn comfortable, though.

I'm assuming you can do the same thing to the Watsons' liners as you can with 32's liners? Shocked Very Happy

good luck gettin' a watson (or even the shanes). apparently, before lf even shipped out the bindings to shops, they sent the plates back to the manufacturing plant. the plates were made too thin (could break easily) and didn't pass inspections. a few shops have the boots, but have no plates.

aside from that, they're the most comfortable i've ever tried on.

Are these boots available in the U.S.A. yet? In Australia we are getting told that they will be another 2 weeks at least for the boots and then at least another week for the pro plates.

Thanks for the info !!! i would get them in 9-10.

yeah, i don´t know what´s wrong with equiptment this year... LF and Hyperlite have been taking so long to send boards and boots to stores.

Must be something about doing them all in China and Taiwan!

cheers

Blindside_137, im not 100% sure how they'd feel. the only difference i saw over last years' was cosmetic. i dont know for sure, though. never really tried them on. still the same lining, same FAST base plate, and i think the same footbed, too. perhaps someone else could give more info.

id say the watson felt more like the team boot from last year. very, very comfy.

Transits are the same as last year...just a new look to the overlay.

scott a, how can you compair the Watsons to the Team!? The only binding I've tried that's harder to get your foot into than a Team is the original Bad Ass. I still don't understand how they ripped off a Wiley's almost exactly but somehow managed to make it 65465163 times harder to get on. The only binding easier to get on than a Watson is a saldal, and depending on which sandal that's debatable.

x vegan x, did you get the right size? i found the teams to be relatively easy to get into. not as easy as the watsons, but much easier than any hyperlite bindings or (older) cwb bindings.

jumalian, did you try on new or used bindings? I've heard they're nice once they've been broken in, but out of the box they're a beeeotch!

i really didnt have any issues getting into the Team binding. and when comparing them i was talking more about how they flex and felt on my foot. obviously the watsons are gonna be easier to get into because of the liquid liner.

that being said i havent worn either for any real length of time, but ive worn a whole lot of bindings and to me they feel pretty similar.

I know they are trying to make sure they put out a quality product but shouldnt they have considered this when they were developing the binding this time last year?

HOLLOMAN101, welcome to boardsports. This isn't just a problem LF has. As long as they're ready to roll by April I don't think it'll be a big issue. Most of the country isn't riding until at least then.

If you want to get the watson, you definetely want to checkout the transit first. I tried on a pair of 06 transit and they are almost identical to the 05 transit. I'm thinking about getting the 06 transit and a 142 watson for my setup this year.

The Boots on the Watson are done, there is nothing wrong with the boots and there never was (the design was done well ahead of time) - LF has all the upper boots ready, the reason for the delay is largely due in part to the fact that they did not make the base plates on site (as scott a said). Basically, LF is waiting on another company to finish the base plates so they can ship the binding with all the necesary hardware to fit onto a board.

Stop hating on LF.

Are the Watsons flexible or rigid? The Transits were supposed to be really rigid last year right? And that's what Watson rode. But he was on the Ultras before which are really flexible.

I like flexibility in my bindings and need to upgrade this year. I like the Watsons and that CWB hinge technology but haven't tried either on.

Geez, stiffer than the transit? The alphas just keep looking better and better. Maybe I can find some '05s for cheap.

So do the Watsons' liners mold to your foot?

Not if you don't like stiff boots. I'm used to riding Ultras. It doesn't get any more flexible than that. I'm not ready to transition to having my ankles locked into place.

Stewie, maybe so, but those of us who have tried both on disagree. Even Don Wallace said he thought they felt too soft until he rode them, at which point he said they're perfect.
