My nautique seems to move really fast just clicked into gear... it is too fast for docking so i have to keep clicking it in and out to get onto the hoist. Do you have any idea how to adjust this? Thanks

Thats how i dock and cruise under birdges and stuff, i just bump it in and out of gear. I have an 86 2001, and did the same with an 80 model. I would just bump it to get it going, and bump it out, and bump it back in to make adjustments. It wasnt a big deal for or anything, just keeps you barely going. I dont really like to be moving alot when i dock anyways, i just like to barely float up to it.

I think all inboard are like that. I do that with my Tige... 2 seconds in 2 seconds out.

If it is going really fast, you can adjust the carb. You might be running a little rich, our 2001 had to be adjusted all the time. Good luck.

I still have to explain to the old bastards at the camp that I have to park in the same spot all the time cuz my boat only backs up one way, they always look at me like I have 3 f-n heads. (they all drive little dingy type runabouts)

So one day old bastard number 1 is in my spot, I lay on the air horn (the safety thing) to get some attention, he came down and looks at me like, what. I'm like move bro I need to dock, he points to his little dinky spot way up near the shore. I said yes that is where your boat belongs now move it there. He gets all pissed like why can't I park there he moves his boat ect... ect... cryn' the whole time. First off my boat sits too deep in the water to be docked that close to the shore secondly I wouldn't be able to get in there specially on that side of the dock.

I had to sit him in my drivers seat and say, OK now back me up over there. the look on his face as he tried and tried. I was like OK so who's the dumb a$$ now. Some times you just need to prove it to people before they will understand.

Click it in and out like everyone said. That's what I have to do to load it onto my trailer.
