Does the type of boat you use make a difference to how much air you can get? I am new to the sport and cant afford a good boat, we just use a crappy old speed boat. Embarassed

jeffh... That statement is way over simplified... Very Happy

I think what Jeffh is trying to say is that with good technique, you can maximize the air you get of a specific wake.

But, a person with good technique will obviously be able to get more air off a bigger wake...

I also ride behind a speed boat, with a small wake... But its still possible to do basic tricks like W2W 180s and 3s. So I'm still enjoying it!

I'm pretty sure you'll want a bigger wake later on (like I do now), but if you are new to wakeboarding, there is a lot of fun to be had even with a small wake.
