Hello everyone. I have got a question for you.
I am in the market for a wakeboard boat and i think i found a good one.
Its a 2003 Centurion Avalanche.
seller is asking $34000
Perfect pass, trim tab, 3 ballast tanks, rear platform, and new stereo w cd and USB input for mp3s, 315 hp mercruiser, under 100 hrs.
My 3 bros and i will be the main users of the boat. We have been boarding for 7 years behind my Dad's ranger with an 8 foot pole stuck in the back pedestal seat mount and cables holding it down. I would classify our level of wakeboarding skill as intermediate. We can do invert tricks but we need to load the ranger way down and even then its difficult. When given the chance to board behind a real boat it feels like we are flying.
Now that myself and my older bro are old enough/make enough to buy a boat we decided it is time. We have been looking around and found a few good deals only to find that the boats have sold the day before we found them. This one is a little more than we want to spend but i think the price is fair.
Thanks. |

RyanV, Well, I sold my 2001 Hurricane/Lightning for $32k last summer, so I'd say yes, that's a damn good deal on the surface depending on what shape it's in. Mine had every option on it though, including PP WP and tower speaders, dual batts, etc etc.
Good luck. _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

Thanks guys for the input.
This weekend we are going down to have a good look at the boat. From the pictures the seller has sent it appears to be in excellent condition. Might be driving home with a boat *crosses fingers* Now if the damn ice would come off the lakes... |

RyanV,
Check the condition of the upholstery real close especially the stitching. I have a good friend with an 03' Av C4 that has had terrible luck with the interior. Not to slam Centurion because I love the wake and all the extras but also take a close look at the gelcoat, steering linkage and all the electronics. The only reason I bring these up is that these are some of the issues he's struggled with over the past three seasons. If you get it you'll love the wake for wake and surf! jg |

RyanV,
I would say that is about $4-5k high in my area. But, that all depends on the market in your area. _________________ My opinion is my opinion!

We payed 37k for a new leftover 03 last summer. No PP, but it had the Brett Eisenhauer package and tower speakers and lights.
Our upholstry had problems with the stitching coming out, but all of that is getting replaced under warranty. Overall we couldn't be more happy with the boat. |
