ok..just picked up some new tower speakers. I've got two places i have in mind to mount them. 1st spot is on the back bar along side the existing bose speakers. The second spot is on the front bar. My idea is to have the bose speakers more for the people in the boat and the kickers for the rider. what do ya'll think looks the best?

I'm tossing out my vote for the front bar, inline with the existing speakers. Personally I like them on the back bar, but I think it looks a little odd with the existing ones. Keep them in-line!

I would say keep the Kickers on the front bar, and ditch the Bose. You really think they will do any good with the Kickers up there also?

If you need the bose speakers for people in the boat, then I'd keep em. You probably have enough interior speakers to handle that chore. I'd ditch the Bose. The kickers look great. Get another pair of those and it would look awesome. Then I would move them back to the bar closest to the rider.

in the interest of money (at least for right now) i think i need to keep the bose. correct me if i'm wrong but the more speakers...the louder right? 2 bose and 2 kickers are better than just 2 kickers...

Yes 4 speakers will be louder than 2 (if of somewhat equal quality and power) but certainly won't be 2 times louder. I dont' remember the exact formula for the decibal levels, but it will probably only be slightly louder. I really don't think you need them up there, at all.

Hollywood...here is what i'm thinking...the bose don't project back very well. They are loud as hell in the boat so i'm using them for the people in the boat. the kickers throw the sound back to the rider MUCH better so those are more for someone behind the boat. who knows...i'll probably just go buy more kickers...i mean, it's just money! you can't take it with you when you die so you might as well spend it Mr. Green

I'm sorry, but with Tower speakers I don't' understand the point of having speakers for the people in the boat too...Tower speakers blast out everyone, not just the rider. In fact, I think it's uncomfortable to be in a boat with too many speakers on the tower. It's fine when you're riding but when you're in the boat it's too much.

Pretty much what I'm saying is...Build your own Transom Audio Mr. Green ...or get an Epic...

Oh, and make sure you aim those things up a little more... it looks like they're shooting straight at the transom

***UPDATE***

Ok...i ended up taking the bose off and putting the kickers on. Because of the existing wiring, i'm mounting them on the back bar. It does look a lot cleaner this way.

dschock...they are pointing down in those pictures because they are not tightened down. I haven't put the spacer's in so they're just hangin there.
