Congrats on the new VLX. I think I have seen every color combo there is. Our lake is loaded with Malibus. I have to say most of them look good. My friend just ordered pink and black and that even looks OK. You either love it or hate it. The best looking one I have seen recently was Black and white with a polished chrome titan III tower. Black on bottom and top with white in the middle. I'll get a pic or it at the boat show and post it. I also like the blue with orange accents. The Malibu rep lives on my lake and thats what he has and it looks good. I think it depends a lot on the tower also. I really dislike the illusion tower (cant get polished), and the Titan III has a pretty low bimini. I like to be able to walk under the bimini.

I think all white looks sick on any boat. Blacks, blues, and reds are always good too. I'm not a fan of the more bold colors, like orange and green, but hey if you like them go with it. Congrats on the new boat!

Grace B., has it. Blue, red and white are my vote. Classic, simple colors that will stil be rad in 10 years. If I were personally ordering a brand new boat I would go to great lengths to make it all white actually. 100%.

Normally I'd agree that you can't go wrong with a solid color boat. But the new VLX gecloat patterns just beg you to use the accent colors. They look super cool with contrasting colors, even if you just use black and white. Getting a solid color on the VLX is kind of a shame, if you ask me. Most other boats, I'd agree totally.

I disagree. I think people need to be REALLY careful about fancy accent colors and trims. I think with something like a Malibu or Correct Craft, they are introducing new colors too often "fusion orange" and crap like that. Really, in 5 years, white, blue, and red and MAYBE black will still be popular and re-sellable. Fusion Orange may not...

I've seen the white and gray on a malibu. Are you talking abouy the moonbeam gray. If so, I didn't care for it. On a boat it looks flat, not glossy. Kind of like a gray primer on a car.
