Hey wrestlers that ride...

I'm a wrestler and I ride with 3 other wrestlers, Three of us are right handed and ride with the right foot forward. This happened to be the leg which we put forward (predominantly) to wrestle. All the other righties I ride with put thier left leg forward.

I was wondering if this is phenomona happens to other wrestlers out there?

I'm a righty, and now that I think about it (it has been a few years), I usually favored a stance with my left foot forward. I right LFF as well. I think that it is only coincidence that you all favor RFF and it is rather independent of handedness. I'm pretty sure that preferred boarding stance has nothing to do with handedness.

i wrestled for about 3 years until i got way into boardin this year haha, but im righty and i right left foot forward, i think its an advantage because you have more strength when starting your spins, cuz when i cut in toeside and jump up and off axis to start spinnin, i use all my right hand to start the spin and its pretty easy. when i wrestled, although my front foot was my right i think it was the fact that always was the foot with all my strength on it... also did u board b4 u wrestle or wrestle b4 u ever started boardin?

This "phenomona" occurs everywhere.
Being right handed or left handed does not determine if you are goofy footed or regular footed.

I am right handed and ride goofy footed...I know a ton of other people who a right handed and ride goofy footed..........come to think of it one of my friends who is left handed and he rides regular.....and he was a wrestler.

Well, I'm in no position to critique your riding skills, but I'd say you've got some work to do wrestling on your feet.

Wanna trade lessons? Smile
