there is a enclosed area where the angled kick board is.. just curious if any has mounted a sub in it.. and if it sounded good? or do you need a custom enclosure? _________________ Its only funny till someone gets hurt, Then its halarious |

Well, that is where I was going to mount mine, probably will fill it with poly fill to absorb resonances.
I am looking at the passenger's side.

Im curious if that space is too big or to small.. It would suck to cut out a whole there and have it not work or sound good..
Ill wait for you to do yours
were you going to do a 10 or 12? _________________ Its only funny till someone gets hurt, Then its halarious |

Vampyre,
So I was talking to my dealer today, and he says that he has seen quite a few people who just mounted the sub right in that area.. he said no problem.. there are no stringers or anything behind it.. so You first then me _________________ Its only funny till someone gets hurt, Then its halarious |

I built a box for my 01 195 Capri LX
Single 12" in a ported enclosure. Carpeted it in red, removed the factory circuit breaker box and the kick panel. remove the instrument cluster and steering v=column in order to get it in there. Mounted with the subwoofer firing up and the port firing at my feet. It sounds AMAZING, is theft proof, does not get wet, does not move around, etc.
I re-mounted the factory circuit breaker onto the front of the box and the kick panel is no longer needed.
I will get pictures this spring when the cover comes off the boat (winterized) |
