New to the site... been here and just kinda looked but ready to post...
Convinced the folks to get a boat this past weekend at the boat show:
Moomba Mobius LSV Looking forward to getting it in the water soon!
I have boarded for 4 summers now but it has all be casual boarding. Maybe 4-5 outings per summer. I can get up all the time and do alright with jumping wakes but that's about it...
So here's the common question, what board should i get?
I think I can get a decent price on a new/unused 05 Hyperlite ERA 142 for around $175.
1. is this a good deal, b/c it sounds good to me...
2. do i have to buy specific bindings or are most universal...
If y'all think 175 for the board is good I am going to ink it today...
thanks guys! |

In answering your question, yes. that is a good deal. But I guess you didnt need any of us to make that decision for you. Most bindings are universal as far as stance is concerned, but the inlays are a different story. I know from experience that you cant put Hyperlite Boots and an Obrien board, because the Obriens inlays are more shallow than I needed. So go with some kind of Hyperlite boots to be on the safe side. Liquid Force boots also go into Hyperlite boards, and is what I personally recommend. But definately shop around, look for deals, talk to your dealer, yadda yadda blah blah blah. Have fun. peace. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

TxSt02, The sickest bindings on the market in my opinion are the 06 CWB Zues. The hinge on them make entry simple, and I have had any problem with this new technology yet, and that means a ton. I ride about 4 times a week in the winter, and they have held up marvelously! _________________
