Swim Platform

I just bought an old boat and the swim platform was all moldy and gross so I decided to sand it down. It look great now but I was wondering what type of water sealant I should put on it. My friends father said I should use something called Setol but I don't know if it's the best thing to use or if I should even use it.

just good old teak oil should do the trick (if it's made of teak, like most platforms)

Thanks for the help Buerqday. I'm hoping to finish it this weekend and put i back on the boat. The only problem is we still have about 4 months until the lakes thaw and we can ride.
