I am hoping someone could help me with my question,i'm sure this type of question has been answered in the past but i can't find anything relative in the archives.I have a self priming reversible pump that i want to wire to two extra accessory swithches that came stock with my boat.I am assuming these blank pushbutton swithches are already fuse protected.I want to use one switch to fill and another to empty.Do i need a relay,or can somebody please draw me a diagram that is simplified?ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

What kind of boat do you have? Are the switched 1 or 2 pole? If they are 2 pole you only need one switch....But anyway, it should look something like this. 1 pole on the left, 2 pole on the right. it might be 2 and 3 pole. I can't remeber. But here you go....

the second drawing is the way to go.
you will need a big fuse,if you turn the pump in reverse most of the time the impellor stucks inside the housing and it wil blow out the factory acc fuse.
a seperate wire with a fuse right from the battery will work better.
to reverse the pomp i did that after filling, in that case the housing was still wet so the impellorblades could slide in opposit direction.
good luck

Rollinphat,
I tried to do the same thing you are doing all this winter. I finally just bought a 3-position switch and it was the smartest thing I did. It is 100 times easier just to buy a 3-position switch and put it in place of one of your 2-position switches. I got my switch from a place called T&W Electronics. I think you have to talk to a guy named Don. If you do a search on wakeworld.com for that company, there are some pics of the switches you can get and also a phone #. They look stock in my MC Prostar 205. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips, i think ill go with the aftermarket switch as i spent an hour trying to figure out why the acc switches were all wired up but did nothing,i figure a $10 switch is better than frying my electronic control center.Anybody remember the good ole days when the stock center pole and a set of six by nines were more than adequate.Hyperlite honeycombs cost $275 with good bindings?Come to think of it,i'd still be going that route if all the late bloomers i ride with didn,t critisize every little thing because they haven't pulled a tantrum by the 10th time they have tried boarding.Thats why i am now the best drinker on the lake with the biggest wake from powerturning.relax K.W. its my turn to bitch a little bit.Dong hitter

Yeah, i think it would be easier for you to just get a couple stitches or staples to tighten it.Bootlip never complained.
