Svfara is putting on an open house (yesterday, today and tomorrow) in Kelowna showing off their new boats in their new production facility.

They have:
SV609 - the original 19'8" D-drive
SV696 - last year's 23' 330hp D-drive
and two new boats:
SV2 - a 23' 330hp V-drive similar to the SV696
SVONE - a 21' mid-engine V-drive ski boat (no tower)

Rob Shirley, ski industry legend and founder of Mastercraft has joined Team Svfara to work together on the release of the SVONE. (Oh yeah... this is a wakeboarder forum)

What's a mid-engine v-drive?

I think it's the one that has the stadium seating in the back behind the engine CB. Like the BU XTI I think it's called. That would be my guess.

Haugy, it's a pretty small boat builder up here in the frozen north. They're not cheap though, probably the best fit and finish of any boat maker in the inboard boat industry IMO.

That's one of the crappiest flash intros I've seen on a professional site. Zoom in on terrible quality pictures and cheesy text animations.

Is it just me, or does the SV ONE look like a paddle boat?

Bambamski,

Where did you take those pics? Looks to me like they are spending much more time on building boat interiors than a website.

JK

those were from a couple of years ago I believe. I remember seeing the same boat at the boat show and thinking if they made a V-drive it would be worth some serious consideration. Although I don't know how the rest of the boat is put together? It was by far the best looking and best put together interior of any boat I'd ever seen (cobalt included). You could say they copied the BU XTI, but if you saw the two together you wouldn't have given the XTI a second look. I thought the pics really didn't do the interior justice.

Side note? Did Paul pull the trigger on the VE? I should start charging a finders fee Wink

I would like to see their V-Drive.

Paul did not make it in as planned last week before we left for the Pro-Am in Florida. With -20 weather I am surprised anyone is thinking about boats, but they are!

at -20 that's when I really start thinking I need a new boat. you need a get away for sure. I think I have to wait a year or two more before I trade this one away though.

Here is the 2006 Svfara SV2 sneak peak... The idea of the seating is to keep people comfortable. No matter where you are in the boat... you are able to move freely around the boat without having people to stand up or moving around... ie... Someone from the bow wants to go for a board or swim... can get the board off the rack and walk through to the transom.. and no one had to get up and move....

Well A+ for creativity but let's be honest, That boat is the answer to a question no one asked. The seating reminds me of a dining table in a camper.

A sink? Seriously. Why?

It definitely is creative. I think the seating arrangement will have alot of knees knocking though. Looks like an awful lot of weight added to the starboard side, also.

Erik Jernberg, haha i'm doing a lot of agreeing with you at the mo..

i think its a nice innovative idea.. for people with big crews no way.. but for smaller (4-5) this looks ideal.

for those worried about weight distribution throw a couple of trim tabs on or more weight in one side seems the sensible answer...

Looks like it has 2 bow seating areas. Great idea if you are all short people. Looks like port ballast will be an absolute must at all times, even when not riding.

The sink is a waste IMO.

I do like Sfvara's interiors in general though. Very clean and nice looking.

A sink is a galley. Include a head and you have a second home mortgage interest deduction.

boarditup, Just use the sink as a head. Laughing

All jokes aside. The interior of that boat looks pretty innovative.

Who's ridden behind one?

Looks like someone my size would be uncomfortable in most of the seats.

About time Svfara made a v-drive... look very nice (although I'd prefer it without the walkthru)
