it really depends on where the wake is at its best shape and what the rider likes. anywhere from 55' 70' is fine but just put it where you like it. _________________ Wake Forest University |

I had pretty good luck teaching my buddies by putting the rope all the way out at 80', and having them get used to jumping one wake. When they could consistantly make it half way across at 80, I would bring them back in to 60'.
It seems to work pretty well. |

Yeah, if you got a wake spec. boat, I would go as far as the rope will go and do what goingbig143 said. If you have I/O I would go to about 60 or 65 and let er' ride. Good Luck _________________ Holly Bay All The Way! |

If you want to jump the wake start with the rope short and as you get better slowly lengthen it. _________________

as said above:
Shorter the rope = the narrower the wake (easier to clear wake 2 wake jumps)
Longer the rope = wider the wake ( more speed and pop needed to clear w2w jumps) _________________ 2005 SeaDoo Wake PWC
