I want to add more weight to the X and wanted to hear from you guys first, where and how much you guys used in your X-Stars. I was think of putting two 300 lbs bags in the bow and leaving everything else stock. Did it make a huge difference when you added your extra weight? Is it worth the trouble to use a pump and extra bags or should i just stick with the factory ballast? Thanks for the input.

| If I have time, I will put one five hundred pound sack on each side in the stern. Then I will put another 500-750 pounds in the front of the boat. This along with the stock ballast filled will make a difference and the perfect wake. It is also good with just the ballast filled as you know when you're in a hurry

I put an additional 600 in the back and 600 in the nose. Wake is real good.

Heh....
If you want a pro-size wake.
two 550's in the back (side of the engine)
500 on the floor on front of the back seat
and another 600 up front
plus stock... That's just a start: max out around 3k

Holy stuff...What are we boarding behind -- barges?
Sounds like a lot of hassle. Is it worth it?
I could see spending the time on this if it were "built-in." Is there some way to add additional tanks (linked by tubes to stock tanks or filled by additional pumps) in the large storage areas next to the rear tanks in my '01 X-Star?

| How do you get 600 lbs up front? Is it lead, or sacs?

I just put a auto-ballest in my X 2-600 lbs. in the back 1-500 lbs in the center and 2-250 side sacs under the front seats. THE WAKE IS INSANE. As Brett Eisenhower says, "It's one the biggest he's ever ridden B4" (also had 12 people)
ps. Took some time to get on plane

My friend has an 03 X-2 and we took out the factory tanks and plumbed in two 550# Phatboys for the back. He has factory locker sack and puts a 540# Launch Lounge Sack on top of ski locker in front and the wake is awesome!
