Generally, I use 900 factory ballast, 2 x 350lb fat sack on each side. Usually 3 to 4 people. I find this to be be enough. Wake plate all the way up. Nice ramp and pop.
I'be been thinking about adding another sack to either the trunk or "basement" as I call it.
Later!

| The direct drive launch can handle A LOT of weight but doesn't need a ton to throw a fun wake. The best I've seen it was when we had the back ballast full, a full sack in the ski locker, a half sack in the trunk, a full sack on either side of the motor, and about 7 people.

| 900 Stock, 500 up front, and 250 in the trunk. Occasionally throw an extra 750 in the back between engine and seat when we have less than 5 people. Throws a f'n huge wake. Although, I have been messing around with the wakeplate lately, I think I like it best all the way up, but can't decide. What do you all ride your wakeplate at?

| where is the 900 stock located. I have a 2002 launch dd and have a tank in the back. I also just built a semi automatic ballast in the basement up front. That holds about 500. I thought the tank was about 400 under the back seat. Buts best wake I have had was tank, basement full and 6 people. Talk about launch. Wow

The factory 900 is 400 in rear tank. 500 in basement bag that is plumbed.
I ride with the tab trimed just a little. I watch for a nice little center roostertail in the wake. A little bit of trim cleans it up real nice and it seems to hold its shape better.

| Do you mean trimmed down a little from the "all-the-way-up" position?

Yeah
just a little under 25 on the trim gauge. It pushes the nose down just a tad and hardens the wake.
