Your idea of the solorider cutting and doing a cirlce when the rider falls off is a good one, but i do see one major flaw with it. Where i ride there are LOTS of boats. What happens when some idiot comes blasting towards you and your cirlceing boat goes right in front of them. Maybe you good enough not to fall but for me i would definetly figure that part out. The handling seems minor to this.

Also your lay-up technique makes me think this thing weighs a ton. Are you sure the 650 is gonna be enough. Its always better to have power to spare than not enough.

A jetski is not a feather itself, and you also have a driver who weights atleast as much. I`ve talked to jetski people and they said that it should be possible to wakeboard behind a jetski 650, and that includes a driver.
So I really hope a 650engine will do! Also, we can`t get such a engine pretty cheap.

I`m working on a few sketches of fin placement and size! I will post them here as soon as they are done!

Yeah, but what what they have done is basic just to rebuild a jetski, it look like a waterski too. But they gave me my inspiration!

To view my pics you`ll have to be logged on... Confused

Is yours going to be that much different or better that you are able to market your control handle?

All I can say is WOW. You may want to make it available to have room for someone else in the boat just incase of injury to the rider. And incase of that, making a manual control FOR that person in the boat.. I dunno.. just an idea.

I bet somebody could buy the rights to that company for cheap and then patent the heck out of the process! There's some money to be made here...

Not to mention the horribly obvious fact that if the boat idles and turns hard to port constantly it will run right over the rope and end your day pretty quick...

Even better, so the rider has to swim all the way to where the boat is circling, with a wakeboard on or holding on to it, and grab a retracted handle to regain any control of the boat...sounds great.

tommyadrian5, wouldn't that be the coolest? Or maybe Accurate would come out with some kind of titanium anti-prop line, but then you would have to buy the complemented titanium prop that has anti-line cutting ability when used in conjuction with the anti-prop line.

A problem has occured in our project, we would be really thankful if someone has some good ideas of solution here! Smile

We have our engine and everything else is fine! BUT we need a better control if the rider has fallen. A killswitch attached to your handle won`t let you do any kind of 360 tricks. You must be able to spin with the handle.

One idea we had was to use a temp-sensor to feel your hand, but sometimes your hands can be colder than the water, so that won´t work in the fall. Confused

The best thing would be a sensor that you push when holding you handle. Anyone have a idea of how to design it? Question

I'd look into a kill switch similar to a push mower's kill switch. They typically have a secondary handle that you have to press against the main handle to keep the engine running. You'd have to work out something to make a system like that actually comfortable to use. Maybe the secondary handle would push in flush with the primay handle?

Crazy_Constructor, dont know about the handle idea but for fins maybe this? A fin in that back that is also parallel to the water surface at the bottom to hold the rear down if the rider jumps. Just an idea.

That is a really good idea! I`ll keep that in mind! Very Happy
Kind of like the air chair?

if I do such a fin, maybe it should be able to adjust the degree of the bottom ? Confused

Crazy_Constructor, yea like an airchair. Adjustable would be sweet, kinda like a trim tab or the malibu power wedge but it might be tricky and you have lots to do already. It be cool if you did it though!
