I can't really see that claim of a PHD being legit., as most of the things he points out are completely illogical and baseless. Many are just straight up totally incorrect. I'm pretty sure its just a joke.

I consider the Matrix to be a pretty good film, not my favourite, pretty cool cinematography through.

He does have one point:

Two words:

Keanu Reeves.

Don't let opinions from a wierd little site on the get you down dude.
Who cares...

Ha, ha. That guy is pretty retarded. He makes several references comparing the film to Columbine. Columbine occured on 4/20/1999 and the Matrix first hit theaters on 3/31/1999, about 20 days before it. There is evidence that the planning for the tragedy began in April, 1998. It appears the good doctor needs to choose an earlier film to blame. Also, the Matrix scenes have nothing to do with revenge or any kind of school shooting. I find it kind of appalling he takes this approach to try to get people to not see the movies. It's a Warner Brothers movie and if the U.S. Attorney General wanted to do something about it something would have been done. There was never any plans to charge the Matrix for anything related to Columbine. People did a lot of speculating/talking about how they trained for Columbine by playing doom and other computer games, which is also retarded.

The budget one is great, the Matrix's budgets are typical for movies these days and by his logic no movies should be made and we should give all the money to charity. Also, movies can have a budget like this because they will make that much money in sales, it isn't from a money tree. Also, 1000 children did not die of starvation during the filming of the Matrix. Additionally, making a movie gives a ton of people jobs and they buy things, creating more jobs, etc...

Him trying to find correlations between Saddam and Bin Laden to the movie is also retarded. I'd bet that the Matrix writers, like most people, didn't know much about Bin Laden back whenever they wrote the movies.

Finally, I liked the movie a lot, but I'm surprized that this PHD missed the biggest problem I had with the movie. Why in the world would these machines use us? Why not just use cows, pigs, dogs, etc... Something were they don't need the Matrix to control us. Also, why not just let us be conscious and locked up?

This guy is loony.

"[i]I had attended a showing of The Matrix in May of 1999 with a lady friend, because we are both big Morgan Freeman fans. An hour into the film, as I observed what dreck we were wading in, I walked up and stood before the screen and tried to explain to the audience that this vomitus was below their dignity.

I was greeted by some of the most vulgar insults imaginable, until some began throwing objects and one man even knocked my pipe from my hand. Do you wish to be associated with a group of such character?[i]"

Morgan Freeman isn't in the Matrix, maybe he meant Lawrence Fisbourne.

yeah, that spread around my dorms here last night....ppl were pi$$ed. its all we were talking about.... Laughing yeah, he does seem to make alot of mistakes considering he has a phd Razz maybe thats the way it is

i think one of the best ones he says is.........

"I'm dreaming of a white... cast?
Two actors were abruptly cut from the sequel cast before production ended, both female minorities. Coincidence?

Aaliyah and Gloria Foster were unceremonially dropped after shooting some scenes for the sequel. What's wrong, guys? They didn't test well with the predominantly white Matrix audiences?

Neither actress could be reached for comment."

aaliyah died b4 she could finish her filming, i think they said she had 80% of it done when she died. and im not 2 sure about the other one, but theres quite alot of mixing in the movies Razz
