hi, i am new to the sport and to this forum. I have about 30k to spend on a boat, but i am a bit confused about what would be the best boat for the money and what type of equipment i should be looking for in a boat. that is alot of money and i want to do it right the first time. any suggestions would be helpful. also if this is not the right category for this type of question please let me know. thanks guys and great message board!!}
I would be mostly wakeboarding and ocassionally cruising the family around. |

Please use the search feature. There have been lots of threads on this topic, and lots of attention paid to this exact issue and price range.

tarheel,
he is right, definitely research this issue because you will get a ton of different opinions on this. It really depends on what you want and what is the best for your dollar.. Just remember though, if you are buying new, you are also buying into the dealership for service and/or warranty work. You will want to be sure they are good and treat their customers properly.
Welcome to the board man and good luck!! _________________ Fat men can fly too

Again at 30k I think the right boat can absolutely absolutely absolutely be had. I am a big supporter of budget boats. I'm actually working on an article for Wakeboarding magazine about this exact topic. You just need to search - and I really dont even want to mention any brand or any model.
I just don't think you should be searching for a *new* boat. At that budget point, search, research and posting opinions on SPECIFIC boats for sale on here will go a long way. People respond much better to "how about this boat" threads than the more generic sorts of trolling questions like what is the best brand. There is no one answer. |

Erik Jernberg, I don't know how legitamate this is but there is a post in the classifies for a 05' I-ride for $32,500. Just seemed really low priced. I would be expecting around 40k with the tower and tandem trailer. He claims it is in TN and tarheel is infact in NC it might be an option.

I don't know if there is any Mod power you have to check on it but its been there for 2 days with no responses. If I was looking for another boat I would definitly take a look at it. _________________
