Ok, we own a 2005 X-2 w/ single axle trailer. Its in winter storage right now, so I need some help from someone else out there...
I need to know the dimensions of boat on trailer when the tower is folded down.
We're building a house on the river, and the builder is about to do the garage.... Anyone who parks it in the garage know how tall/wide it is folded? I'm more concerned about height.
Please, if anyone can let me know, i'd greatly appreciate it. |

Double axle trailer is 20'9" Our tongue folds right at the tip of the bow.
Height would around 80 -81 inches with the tower folded down in the back and front. The biggest problem I have when I'm putting the boat in the garage is the incline of my driveway. The back of the boat is higher going into the garage than the measured height of 80 or 81 inches.
A standard 7 foot door is really tight. If I built a new garage for my boat I'd go to an 8 foot if I there is such a thing. |

We have a single axle and have to let air out of the tires to fit it in the garage.
Door height is 7.3 -7.5
if your building, build at least an 8' door |

| I'll 2nd that 8' door will do the trick nicely. They make 'em...we have 'em (on our house). |

Yep, definately go with an 8' door. We have to fold ours down, then take the the 2 bottom screws in the back and two in the front to even further break it down to get ours to fit due to the angle of our driveway and only having a 7' door where the doors hangs down about 6" into the opening.
I seen this house where the guy has a garage with an 8' door in the front and in the back, so its like a drive through garage, that would be ideal if you are building a house!! _________________ www.midwestmilitia.net |
