This is my Opinion. I see Sims boards as nothing special, a solid board. Great for beginners, cause they make some cheaper models. Personally I wouldn't buy from "the house" either. I say go to your local shop and support!

I agree with NorthwestRider, about supporting local. They were well informed and helped me out quite a bit. They even saved me some money on my car insurance Laughing

Stay away.. Sims has changed hands many times over the years and are now owned by Japaneese investors. Support smaller, rider driven companies.

Sims = Another brand in a long line of brands that is owned by japanese investors that bastardized the great names and sell crap. Also see Avalanche, Lamar, Nitro, etc

J-Ro, Nitro is still rolling strong and still hasn't sold out. They're boards are made in Europe. W/the Addition of MFM, they're moving along. I'm pretty sure that BJ Leines just signed w/them too or maybe it was Erik?

Ride, 5150 and Morrow are made is China- They are owned by K2.

More overseas made companies-
Lamar
World Industries
Division 23
LTD

Half the dam industry is owned by K2.

Lamar no longer exists in my world....I still ride my 155 Halopoff....After the KJ models came out the next year, it was all down hill. Soo good then, now they are sooo sad.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
