I have a 2002 Moomba Outback, I am considering put a perfect pass in there. Does it really make that much of a difference? The lake we ride is usually not so smooth so sometime u need to play with the throttle to keep it going steady and keep it a good wake. Will PP help with this?

Totally worth it in my opinion. My 05 Tige has it, and from the first time we used it, we were hooked. You can see it make minute adjustments in .1 mph increments as the rider edges (you can also set it to track rpm v. mph). It speeds up when you turn to set you up for the up dub (you can overide this if you want). They don't call it 'the marriage saver' for nothing.

No. Perfect Pass sucks. Terrible worst invention ever.

Acctually PP if you don't have it is the best investment you can make to your boat.

Soooo worth it. Makes everybody a good driver, well as long as they can drive a straight line.

Definitely worth it. Because it's your boat it always takes people a while to get the feel of it, and that means crappy sets for you. It will not only make their driving experience much more enjoyable and safer but will give you a consistent pull even with little experience on your boat. Mark down another for "worth it."

Does this need to be installed at a dealer, or can it be done by the average mechanic? Does it hook on to your throttle cable or how does it work? Are they any engine stipulations (ie fuel injected)? I’ve seen it in pictures, but have no idea how it works. Thanks!

with basic mechanical skills it can be installed in about 3-4 hours. If your boat already has a paddle wheel speedo it makes it that much easier.

Generally way worth it. Best option you can put on a boat and I wouldn't own one without it. The only way it woudn't be worth it is if you plan on selling your boat soon.

I'm w/xxMetalheaDxx. DRAGON88's trying to be cute (or something), and he doesn't make sense. PerfectPass is a great investment whether you already have it in your boat or not.

Wow.

So wait, what doesn't make sense? The fact that this has come up hundreds of times and I felt like giving a clearly sarcastic answer? Or the fact that I stated my opinion which was "If you don't already have PP installed on your boat I would say that it is the best investment you can make to your riding."

Some of you guys need to take reading comprehension classes.

xxMetalheaDxx, I have no clue what you're trying to say... Are you saying that it's better to not have PP?

Uggh. OK, DRAGON88:

Your Sentence. This sentence doesn't make sense:
Quote:

Acctually PP if you don't have it is the best investment you can make to your boat.

Now, your second statement in the follow-up post makes sense - thanks.
Quote:

"If you don't already have PP installed on your boat I would say that it is the best investment you can make to your riding."

I wouldn't agree that PP is best investment you can make in your Riding, but it's a great investment in a Boat.

Sorry, I should have had a few commas...

"Actually Perfect Pass, If you don't already have it, is the best investment you can make to your boat."

If the guys pulling you know how to keep the boat within a MPH or so of the speed you want then it might not be the best investment for your riding. But for me at least if I'm behind a boat where the speed is fluctuating 5 mph I have a hard time riding, because the wake is not consistent. But that's just my opinion...
