I am going to buy an amp to run 2 10" subwoofers. I currently have a Kenwood amp running the rest of my speakers, but it is all stock. What is a good amp to buy that has adequate power with breaking my wallet. What kinds of things should I look for, and how would I hook it up?? (Bridged or Unbridged - what does that mean anyway)??

from fy experience you get what you pay for. there's never any deals with stereo equiptment unless you catch a clearence of older stuff a store is trying to get rid of. go to a couple audio stores (note this does not mean best buy) and ask for their advice. remember they'll always talk up their stuff so just try to figure out how bog of an amp you need and that kind of stuff. i'm not the smartests but mtx, jl, kicker, keenwood, and clarion all make decnt amps. it all depends on how much you are willing to pay.

you may want to buy like an alpine or kicker amp, they aren't too expensive and pretty decent amps. my friend had a urban audio running his tens and they hit pretty hard. don't buy a cheap ass amp, like the ones you find on ebay, you will get robbed. otherwise if you want to spend some money for a phat amp look at phoenix gold or soundstream, they are pretty bad ass.

I can say I love my Alpine stuff and would reconend it to anyone. You might want to look at MONO amps if you are only going to run subs off it.

First there are some questions that need to be awnsered.
1- what kind of tens
2- what is their power handeling
3- what kind of box are you going to put them in
4- what type of sound do you plan on getting out of these

If you want a decent amp that won't break the bank look at lightning audio(they are made by Rockford, not as good as the Rockford but really good for the price point) and who ever said Urban Audio those just suck, no offense
