Well?? I have tickets to Denver, now I need to decide where to go. Vail, Breck, Copper, Winter Park, what? Any suggestions? _________________ PS- this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Vail and Breck are the best riding in my opinion. Copper is great too.
But those two get kinda busy sometimes. But if your family can do blues, there are places to get away from the normal wackos.
Both have Terrain parks for beginners to suicidal.
I love Breck, but have been so many times, that's why I am going to Tahoe.
Vail is also really great. I know that's not what you were probably looking for. |

yes. it all depends on what you are looking for....here is the skinny on what all you mentioned.
Breck ..... flat but has the biggest, baddest, park around.
Vail ...... huge, tons of terrain ..... awesome freeriding and cliffs in the back bowls and blue sky. There is always a stash of pow somewhere on the mountain.
Copper .... in my opinion probably the best all around mountain. There is a decent park, decent trees, decent runs. You can pretty much find everything, but I wouldn't say it is known to be the best at anything. The snow cat on the back is a good time if you want to wait (usually worth it)
Winter Park .... I love this place. I like their park the best for learning new tricks. Huge enough to throw 7's and 9's but not big enough to get broke off. Very well maintained ... word on the street is they are going to have a super park (pay a little extra and sign a waiver) this year. Also it you get some pow, head over to mary jane for some fun runs. But if it didnt snow, you will have to ride a lot of moguls. Winter Park is also on the east side of the divide and not near the others. This sometimes means they have drastically different snow conditions....which could be good or bad depending.
Most of the places are really close (Keystone, Copper Breck, A basin) are all in summit county and accessbile by bus. You could spend a day at each if you wanted....
Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more info. |

Winter Park it is. Thanks for the help. We got the best deal on lodging/lift there and it seems pretty sweet. We'll be there Jan 2-6. Anyone want to hook up and ride? (my wife can't seem to keep up ) _________________ PS- this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Copper is great, never had a bad day there. Much more accessable on a snowboard than Breck, there are tons of flat spots and traverses, the terrain is good, but you spend half the day getting there. _________________ www.midwestmastercraft.com

I would have to agree that Copper is the best all around. Definately my favorite. Although Vail is a dam good place to go also. Keystone is fun for some night riding. |

Skip the Front range and take the 4 hr drive down to Crested Butte...wait, no I didn't say that, where is Crested Butte?
Research what you are looking for and what they have to offer, if you have to stick to the I-70 Corridor, Vail is a good bet for at least a couple days if you are looking for some freeriding. _________________ - "Hurry up and finish your wine so we can go get us some milkshakes " - |
