I need help finding a lake to go to for a senior trip for a week or so next summer. I live in Baton Rouge, LA and would like to stay somewhat near there, say within around 500 miles. I am looking for a lake that has a large rental property that i would be able to get, a smooth lake, and also a place that has a ton of stuff to do. If anyone has some ideas, please help me out.

I think you mean Travis was the roughest? Yeah Travis is a great lake, lots of fun. On the weekends the water gets pretty trashed, but since you're looking for a weeklong or more trip, that shouldnt be a problem. I'm sure you would have no problem finding glass during the week, and then I'm sure theres plenty of fun to be had out there on the weekend doing other stuff.
It might be kind of hard to find rental property on Lake Austin, but the water is real nice.
If you consider Lake Austin or Lake Travis, you might want to check out www.360wakeboard.com. There will be a lot more people on there that can help you out regarding those lakes, and probably some between here (Austin) and Louisiana.
