|

Ok, so now that I've gotten your attention, I'm not really talking about clear boardshorts or anything. I'm looking for opinions on white boardshorts that are see-thru when they get wet.
Would you wear them?
Would it look too slutty to see a bikini bottom through the shorts?
Would the white influence your decision to buy a pair of boardshorts?
What do you think?
Oh, and let's PLEASE try to keep this discussion on the boardshorts and not whats under them...
Opinions please...
Thanks

| I have 2 pairs of white and it doesn't bother me at all. I usually take them off when riding in the boat anyways. |

No thanks -- I wear board shorts to cover up (and to prevent bikini bottom slippage) -- see thru defeats the purpose of cover up IMO. Now, if I was 19 and had a smokin' body I might consider it! |

Like adela, I have a couple of pairs of white. The only problem is they show dirt easier, brush up against anything dusty and you look like you've been rolling in the sand. As for the slutty factor, I don't think that matters - you're usually wearing less than that anyway. I just use the shorts as cover up when on the beach, walking to the bar or bathroom etc. _________________ You say psycho like it's a bad thing... |

| Yes, the dirt is much more apparent with white. The bleach pen is awesome for them! |

I definitely agree with NVChickadee. I don't think it's a matter of being slutty or not.
I only wear my boardshorts while riding. On the boat it's just my 'kini and when we go up to eat it depends. ...When I'm riding I wear the shorts so that I don't have to worry about my clothes staying in place and can focus 100% on my boarding. Wearing shorts that you can see through when wet defeats my purpose for wearing them to begin with.
I would only wear white boardshorts if they were thick enough that you couldn't see through them when wet, and to make that possible they'd probably have to be pretty thick and in turn hold a lot of water and I wouldn't like that : ) _________________ . love genuinely . praise loudly . live fully . |

No way, not slutty at all even if they are see through. I have a pair of white shorts. I could care less if you can see my bathing suit underneath (ohhhhh, you can see her bathingsuit ), except that it reveals how I don't always match my tops with my bottoms. I like white shorts. I think they are very feminine, but agreed that they are hard to keep clean. Bye the way, does anyone have any whitening tips? The water I board in is kind of muddy, and bleach and oxxyclean, well just don't get them bright enough IMO. |

| I have a couple of boardshorts that are white in places and the see-throughness doesn't really bother me. Its just they get way too dirty. We have a cabin on a lake, so I wear my boardshorts all day long, in the boat, on the docks, or wherever I happen to be and by the end of the day they are always dirty. That is really the only thing that bugs me about white boardshorts or any light colored ones for that matter! |

Trucker T the Bleach Pen is awesome!! Try it out. I have the same problem with dirty water.
By the way, wearing white boardshorts is not like wearing mesh or anything. Yes you can usually see what color is underneath to a degree, but they aren't completely see through at all...unless you wear your boardshorts really fitted or something. |

Can you imagine. I'd split my shorts first run if they were fitted. Thanks for the bleach pen tip adela. I'll try it. |

I have a pair of white boardshorts, they're double lined so they aren't so see thru...although even if they did it wouldn't bother me so much because when we chill and are just layin on the boat i take them off so you see me bikini anyways. I wear board shorts so i'm not wearing a thong every time i get pulled outta the water. _________________ If it didn't hurt it wasn't worth tryin |

| I have a pair and they are my favorite..I don't even think of them as being see-through really cause it's not like I'm not wearing a bathing suit under it. My shorts usually sag enough that you can see what colour my suit it anyway. |
