|
|
Does anyone know which Nautique dealer(s) on the west coast use Prestige trailers under thier boats that they sell?
I know it's not local to me up here because the dealers here use DHM.
We're trying to figure out where this SAN came from that a friend just bought.
thanks in advance. |

you could probably call Correct Craft and tell them the VIN (or whatever it is called on boats) number. _________________ Can't we all get along? |

K-dub, Maybe KyleT, hit it... just call Nautique directly KyleT, KyleT, KyleT, (or WC CC) and tell them you are thinking of buying the boat and were interested which dealer it was supplied from originally.. should be straight forward for CC to throw a trace on it...
I suppose it comes down to how much you want to know
Just my 2 cents

I would guess that was a special order boat. West Coast CC uses DHM , WA, OR CA.
I'd like to know what dealer was nice enough to order it, mine wouldn't. _________________ I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream |

Found out that it came from the east coast.
He was trying to get the full scoop on the boat because it was purchased at an auction.
Cant beat the deal he got...but just wanted to know a bit more about the rig.
I'm still trying to figure out how the thing made it out here from waaay over there.
thanks for the replies. |

Erik Jernberg, it was in an auction because it had been hit by another boat in the rear on the port side. It's an 05 SANTE, 6 hours, fully loaded. Charcoal/Red/White with a red FCT. Prestige tandem axle trailer. Clean title.
My friend that bought it is one of the best gel-coat guys around. Fixed it good as new (I couldn't tell it had been in an accident)...it also needed a new wedge tank on that side. Other than that, nothing wrong with it at all.
let's just say that the deal is a "MAJOR" come up. And I mean MAJOR! |

| Very cool. I had debated a few times about buying the 2004 SANTE that was available on the salvage sites not too long ago. I think the 2004 with 4 hrs went for around 5000 dollars. |

what was wrong with the 04' that you are talking about?
I don't think this one was salvage because it doesn't have a salvage title?? He tells me it doesn't atleast...
requardless, if he sells this thing, he's gonna make ALOT of dough. |

It was complely thrashed. It got pickled by someone in a Scarab. There wasn't a "lot" left of her. That said it would have been ok to part out, use as a parts & accesories bin for someone...
I have these stupid half-assed plans to fix up stuff lately. Depending on what day it is, I've wanted to buy another RoverD90, a 76 Bronco, or a totaled wake boat to fix up. All I need now is some restoration talent.

K-dub, Just wondering, is there any law in the USA that states you must inform a buyer of any major accidents with the boat? such as a big chunk of the port side transom being rebuilt or re-engining?
Also, was the boat an insurance write-off due to the damage?
Just curious....

Erik Jernberg, I hear you. It would be a very nice thing to have the knowledge/skills this guy has. I would be at that auction every month picking up boats. He has his eye on an 03 VLX right now too....
Flip a few of those, and you have a hefty down payment on a new house.
Brit Rider, i'm not sure? That's part of my reason for this thread in a round about way. We wanted to figure out where this boat came from mainly to know some kind of history behind it....for example, if it came from this area or not. I had never seen a Prestige trailer before seeing this one, so it gave me the clue that it was from another part of the country.
I have no clue on the insurance end. I'm sure the guy that originally owned it is sitting in a brand new SAN though.... |

If I had gelcoat skills this could be a jem. Details are scarce on what happened, but it looks like the boat too a trip off the trailer. Depending on what it goes for, it could be a great project.

K-dub, agreed. Look at the CFT it's all bent crooked...
I can't believe how easy it is to total a 60k boat... _________________ wakeboards

My guess is that it flipped off the trailer. Looks like road rash to me.
Is a boat titled in every state? If so then after the insurance claim was settled it should have a salvaged title. Thats probably about as good as it gets with boats. Buyer beware. _________________ the2001.com |
