I finally picked up Final Cut Studio for my G5 and I'm looking at picking up a video monitor. I don't have the cash to buy an expensive ntsc monitor, so I'm probably looking at using a tv in the meantime. Any recommendations on what to use?
A small lcd would be ideal because of the thin size. Are there any drawbacks to using an lcd vs a standard tv?
i just picked up a samsung 19 in monitor for 230 after rebates at bestbuy. im looking to pick up another one and having dual monitor setup just for video editing and stuff like that.
i'm not really sure on this if anyone wants to correct me but you would have better resolution and quality on an lcd versus a tv.
The NTSC monitor is the right way to go to really get a good look at your color. But if your not going to actual broadcast, a tv will work just fine. So many of the small companies just use Tv's.
you have to be careful with the LCD because the colors might be off. (to bright) Just make sure you use some color bars to adjust the LCD picture
Wakeboardertj,
I'm pretty sure he is not talking about a computer monitor. It is a monitor used to watch video playback while editing to check color and titles and also the overall look of your project when played on a television. _________________ My Demo Reel www.liquidforcefilms.com www.brettbrinkerhoff.com
