and none of us can take a joke. Let me explain....

all the moderators have a little catchphrase that says something about the words being an opinion of them, not wakeboarder.com. so, jokingly, i made my signature say something to the effect of "the words in this post are the opinion of wakeboarder.com, not franknbeans" so they got into my profile and changed it.

thanks man, usually everyone on here doesn't get it either and just bash me for whatever reason. seriously, all this poking and prodding is all a joke, but no one seems to get it.

I thought it was a funny sig, it's been up there for some time wasn't it? I thought it was months ago when you started using it. Right around the time the mods added there sig too.

franknbeans, I did not do it. Nevertheless, you can see where it could be a problem if Advertisers/etc. view one of your posts and may misconstrue it as the opinion of Wakeboarder.com-ie. Somebody that does not frequent the site and know you and cannot disseminate between the moderators and forum users.

my bet is mccarthy'd. back when he put up the thread in general wakeboarding about making non-wake related threads in the general wake area, i posted that it should be moved to non-wake. i don't think he got the joke.

Ironic, since I didn't change his signature. Dave apparently changed it, and he probably should have just private messaged you and asked to change it.

Anyway, Turk is right on with the reason, even though it's a joke, and I actually think it's funny, we have had problems with companies thinking that moderators were speaking on behalf of Wakeboarder.com about products and the like. Thus the reason for the signatures that moderators have.
