Well, i wanna make my little sister interested in the sport, and im taking her this weekend so she tries boarding for her first time. SHes 9 years old and shes not a sporty girl, quite little for her age and not too strong.
So my question is: how can i do to try to get her interested? how to teach her how to ride? i don even know where to start. Ive shown her pictures of little kids doing it, and thats how i convinced her even to try (before she didnt even wanted to try) Plus she came with us a couple of times on the boat.
The last thing i wanna do i making her have a traumatic experience that will make her not even touch a board for long.
Any advices are Greatly appreciated!

Hey wakeagu,
First - go slow...
Get her comfortable with a board on - maybe on land...I assume she's comfortable swimming and on the boat, jumping off the swim platform?
We actually put a person in the water with the person who's learning - they have a life jacket on and help them stabilize the board and get in the "ready" position - when the boat goes - they stay behind - lots of folks used to teach water skiing this way...
Laugh - ALOT
