Come on man, don't they teach geography in school these day?? Jk.. Chile and NZ are the hotspots for our opposites, but there are other good places. Check out a globe..

Yep, Europe has winter the same time that we do. I'm sure there are places that you can ride deep into the summer there that are the equivlient of our Hood, BC, etc.. Even Snowbird here in UT was open until July 4th!

From what I've heard NZ had one of their worst seasons in long time for snowfall. When is your Senior trip? I always headed out west all through school on my breaks to go riding. I partied enough the other times.

First off, you should put up two of the same topics.

Anyway, its been said that NZ's season predicts our upcoming season in the NW. I don't know if this is true or not, but it was true for last year.

Senior trip? I think you should concentrate on graduating first.

wakejumper17, dude are you serious. Its definetly the equator that divides summer/winter. The prime meridian has NOTHING to do with it. North of the equator is North America, Europe, Asia and the top 1/4 or so of south america and africa. South of the equator is 3/4s of south america, africa, australia, and antarctica. When the northern hemisphere is winter, the southern is summer and vice versa.

BTW: switzerland is on the other side of the prime meridian.

And anarchy99, did you not do elementary school geography? I thought this thread was a joke for a while!

There are a couple of places with snow over spring break. I've been riding at A Basin in June, gets a little slushy in the afternoon, but still a great trip.
