I had my first wakeboarding experience last week and I loved it! I got up every time, and can follow the boat pretty well. However, now that I have made it that far, I don't know what else to do. After reading the website advice it suggests that my next steps are: getting over the wake, edging, curving, and ollies. I have no idea what any of those are and can't understand the descriptions. I don't know if body type matters with boarding technique, but I'm 5'6" and weigh 120 lbs. Any suggestions on what to dor or how to do it?

Right now you just need to learn board control. Once you get up, set your edge and head outside the wake. Stay loose and don't focus on the wake - keep your head up and look at the shore. Once your outside the wake try to edge out as much as possible. The harder you edge the faster you'll go. Once you get out as far as you can, go flat on the board again to let the boat take some rope slack in. Then start edging the opposite way back towards the wake. Same story for entering the wake...just relax. Now do the same thing u did before but to the other side of the wake. As you get better try doing it faster. Also throw a few cutbacks off the wake for fun. In other words, when your way outside, cut in towards the wake, instead of going over it, cut real hard on the wake and head back out. All that is called carving. Once you get that down you can worry about ollies and jumps.

Just work on turning, work left to right inside the wake. Once yo uget comfortable with that, move outside the wake and do the same thing. Once you get comfortable edging(turning) you will feel comfortable enough to start ollies(jumping)
