progressive edge

when im all the way outside the boat and i try to progressive edge in i lose my speed. Any tips?

yes.

1st there is a trick tips section on the WB.com home page

and.

you should edge out a good decent distance anywhere from 10-20 feet and just sit out in the flats a while and wait for the the boat to pull you back to the wake. as soon as that happens is when you start your progressive edge. for heelside... you "progressivley" build up your edge by increasing the pressure on you heels. at this point you should be having a good solid edge, good speed and line tension. as you approach the the wake, stand tall to generate the pop that you need to go w2w and dont foget to keep the rope in to your lead hip area/ waist or all your line tension will go away and you may hardly get any air.

but im not sure why you loose speed as you progressively edge in, if anything you should be gaining quite a lot.
