Well I recently bought an Oasis 137 but I just stumbled upon some money (credit at the dealership where i bought my boat) which also has a very nice pro shop and i was basically wondering what kind of board i should get. Im a beginner completely, i have 650$ to spend, im 210 lbs and 6'1". Ill have friends though that are intermediate and above that would use it too so any suggestions?

Harrison256, screw your friends. You shouldnt be forced to buy them dick. Let your obrien be the whore board. Then, upgrade to some quality bindings by trying some on. Then, invest in some fat sacs for your boat. Find a nice line, and a pimp handle, and call it done. You are not in the buisness of letting your friends ride your boat free of charge, putting wear and tear on it, riding your crap, drinking your refreshments. I wouldnt be the push over.

Yeah! What Blake, said. I would give myself the upgraded board, and let the Oasis be the "boat board." Don't let anyone else wear your bindings either. Unless their foot is identical in size to yours, and they don't have fungus Laughing
I have a 02 Belmont 142 with HL Spin bindings as my loaner. Nobody uses my ride but me.

get a board with a continuous rocker. and yeah, don't share it, especially not bindings because wakeboard bindings usually "mold" to the shape of your foot

Wow, that was a HORRIBLE descion. I VERY highly doubt you like the Byerly what so ever. It's not frgiving for new riders, and its really slow. It's truly a hate it or love it board. Not many newbs love it either...

Harrison256, you got the Byerly, just ride it and don't worry about what everyone else thinks. You will ride it fine, if you put a decent amount of time on it. I know some people who swap boards 3 times in a summer, and wonder why they are not progressing. Just stick to that board for a while before switching off.

I will have to concur with this statement. Anyone can ride any board for a while and learn on it.
