i landed a crow mobe for my first time last night after about 5 or 6 attempts at it, but still need help on how to perfect it. i have very strong ts fs 3's/5's, so i can get the handlepass pretty well. but any more tips for me for coming down for landing and body position (with handlepass). thanks in advance.

also, i have a great crash video of this trick that i will post soon.

:::edit:::

here is the link to the video. read the description on WP.com to know what the tricks are. short download, high quality.

ohio wake 2008,

what do you think the key elements of this trick are that you need to be pretty solid at so you can land it?

natxbrotha, definitely being able to do a scarecrow well so you can get the rotation faster for a crow mobe. also a ts fs 360 helps too with the handlepass and the landing.

ronik15, thanks.

awesome. yah i was getting pretty close on the crow mobe myself, the handle just kept flying out of my hand on the landing. i was also trying them off the dumper (slight right turn) so theres less line tension on the way down. i think i may have been taking to long of an approach into the wake.

i've noticed that a late switch blind 180, fastly rotated crow, and ts fs 3 stalled out would really help... right now im just lacking on the switch blind landing... but i bet once i take a shorter approach and go w2w it will all fall in place.

what i did was work on my switch BS 180's, then after that did my TS FS 360's, which were a hell of a lot easier after the switch bs 180, and then went for the crow mobe.

if you watched the medium quality video, sorry. i updated with a high quality video.

tonight was pretty good for me and doing crow mobes. i landed 2 of the 3 i tried, and the first one i wasn't worried about the handlepass. i think i have this trick going pretty well...but i still have to do a normal scarecrow and a couple 3's before it. thanks for some of the tips, that is, if i got any. i didn't look back.

ohio_wake_2008, Man, that trick about made me quit... I had hands down the hardest time with that one then any other trick I tried.. I actually landed it slightly intoxicated, for my first real landing... It has taken me well over a year to perfect it though. I dont do the spin thing as well as I wish, but congrats on it. My handlepass could still use some work, but for now its good enough... The ultimate test on how the trick looks is video tape your next ride, and watch it over and over again... Then you next time, video it again. Compare the two and see what you are doing right, and wrong. I have to admit, I spin good enough, but for some odd reason to me, they look fugly when I do it.

Again, props on it and keep working it out. I am on dialup so I cant really download anything without making my surfing speed go to a crawl, but next time you go out BLOW THAT SHIZ UP homie...

Blake, haha thanks man. can you do ts fs 360's pretty well with a handlepass? thats basically what helps me out a lot when i do it. also, a tantrum 2 blind helps me with the landing, since you can land a crow mobe blind, and it is the same way as landing that, to me.

ohio_wake_2008, Yeah... I am having the hardest time doing a 5 ts switch bs right now though... Man, I am going to go out and perfect that damn thing this weekend...

I never really had a problem with the tantrum.

bhamglassman, I have two local companies that arent even wakeboard related helping with the cost of things in turn for free advertisement... One is my cousins golf shop, Golf Etc Waco, you might have a Golf Etc around you, I dont know... And the other is Town West Ford... They only help with little costs though... We dont have a pro shop in the area, so I am constantly trying to stay in contact with shops in the nearest metropolis cities such as Dallas (90 miles north), and Austin (90 miles south). I have spoke with a few different retail reps from CWB, and Ten 80 which were all great guys, and they reviewed my tapes. The only thing they could do at the moment was offer free shipping on their products and 10% off directly through them. Naturally, I accepted this for the time being, knowing that I can get better deals on ebay, but this atleast gets my name in their data banks. I wrote a letter and sent a video of my riding to Vikingsextreme, and they are hooking it up with a few free shirts, and a hoodie. They are really on a hunt for snowboarders to sponsor at the moment, so if there is any riders who treat wakeboarding as an off season trainer for their snowboarding, def call them up. Anywho, I hope to be a regional rider atleast within the next 5 years, but it has taken me 7 going on 8 just to get where I am at now... If I could have one sponsor, I would hit up Haliburton or Exxon Mobile for the free gas yo.. Laughing

If you want to chat via aim, hit me up at Hitter009... I can send you a sample riding vid possibly. I am on dialup, so hosting things is an all night affair.
