BLUES IS WHERE I LEARNED TO HATE HIM!
I should rephrase, NO Canadian city will win the cup again this year.
And if you are keeping me honest, you know I want the Oil to win.
My favorite player in the series right now is Moreau. I would have loved for him to get his name on that cup. Every game that guy plays is for the cup regardless if it is the first game of the season or they are out of the playoffs, he is one passionate player. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

Muck....I had to say something about the Edmonton boys being quiet after this clown has been chirping off.
I'm the only Cali. boy in this thread on a regular basis, but somehow he seems there is plural "Cali boys"....??? |

All my buddies are rooting for the Oil, and I told them they'd get swept just like the Ducks did. We'll see if it happens, sure looking good though.
My playoff philosophy, who ever beats the Wings goes to the finals and gets pounded. _________________

Statistically speaking. 98% of the time, the team that has won the first two games of the playoffs has won the cup. |

Mermaid,
Statistically (sp) speaking, women are 98% wrong when the discuss hockey.
But I think you fall into that 2% Mermaid. Canucks fan or not. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com

on the news the other night they were talking about if the canes won games 3 and 4 in edmonton, the cup would be presented up their (away from home and thousands of fans)
does anybody else think that the canes might have lost on purpose so that they can try to win game 4 and come back to NC and win game 5 and win the cup on their home turf?

Um, no. Edmonton came out on FIRE. No team ever intentionally loses a Finals game. Did you see how pissed Carolina was about Smith's goal? I'm still bent Roloson is out, but maybe Markkanen gets hot with some confidence and some crowd love. |

Are you retarded??
Do you really think the players care where get the cup. They just want to win a cup...I think when you make it to something you have dreamed your whole life about, you don't "throw" a game just to win the cup in front of your fans. |

Sure they were pissed, but the goal that the Oilers had taken away was a clear goal, so it evens things out.
I was at the game last night, and cudos to the crowd. I have to say that was the loudest I have ever heard them throughout the playoffs! |

i live in edmonton, and there one of the most unpredicatable teams ever. For example i beleive it was game 6 in the redwings series. we were down like 4 goals at the end of the second. In the third we scored 5 or 6 and won. One period oilers can play like retired woodworkers and the next play with so much energy. Its a great series and i really think the oilers are going to win game 4 and tie it up. I think its going to be the oilers in 7. |

Good game last night. Really hope the Canes finish it off Wednesday night. Would be great to bring a major professional sports title to the state.
One thing about the game last night. Normally I wait to turn the game on until I'm sure they're playing, but last night I actually watched some pregame. I was surprised to see so many Edmonton fans singing along with the US anthem. Very classy, very respectful of the game in my opinion. Hopefully the Carolina fans will be that respectful. Also, I liked how the Canadian anthem was done, with the fans actually doing most of the singing. Very impressive. |

I don't know that Roloson would even help right now. Isn't Edmonton suposed to be the faster team? I'm not seeing that at all. Carolina is EVERYWHERE. First to the puck, breaking up the ice, etc. Edmonton had a HORRIBLE 5 on 3 where they never even got the puck on net - hell, never even got it in the middle of the ice. |

I hate Pronger!! What's really pissed me off was that he's actually playing quite well in the playoffs for the Chuck but he SUCKED when he played for Canada in the olympics.
Edmonton does have the speed but the Carolina team was also built to have a great deal of speed as well. The difference has been the speedy Carolina guys can also put the puck in the net. Edmonton is basically getting beat at their own game.
It will be nice to collect some dough on Wednesday after Edmonton loses. |

I think Carolina will lose the next game so they can win the cup in Canada and rub it in their faces. _________________

I have to say, that Carolina is just a better team.
They proved it last night. Edmonton tried to come back, but could get nothing going.
I think the mood here in Edmonton is everyone has given up.
Thats ok, an 8th place makes it to the cup, pretty damn impressive! The city really rallied around the team too, it was quite a great experience to be a part of. Going to meet clients all day, who are executives and whatnot, and rather than suits, they are in Oilers jersey's. Thats always cool |

Great game last night! Question for y'all - Why all the hate for Pronger? I don't pay attention to the NHL until the playoffs, so I'm not up to speed on him. What's the deal? |

jt09,
It goes back to when he played on st louis,,,, those st louis chicago games used to be great,
so i hated him from back then,,,, but he is not a leader, he should be C or an A at least.
Ethan Moreau, now that is a guy i want on my team.............. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |
