Blair aka Twitch, it was so cool. I had shivers. Even cooler was at least 12000 people singing the US anthem!

I'm pulling for the Oilers. Pronger's a bada$s, Roloson is hot, I always like Ryan Smyth (can't believe he has been in the NHL 11 yrs), Peca is no longer acting like a spoiled little b*tch and has gone back to being a real player and Samsonov was a Bruin, which means he will kick much a$s for his new team - Boston is the farm team for the rest of the NHL. I don't follow hockey regularly, but they have a lot of games on the HD channels and I got caught watching the Oilers the other night - didn't realize how many guys I like they have now. Plus the Oilers are old school cool.

I'd like to see them play Buffalo.

The old Chicago Stadium used to shake for the Anthem. It just turned into a blairing roar before the end. You never never wanted to miss the anthem for anything.

This was a tradition that went on ever game of the regular season and the playoffs it turned into mayhem. Players have said that the ice would shake under their feet.

how that tradition ended is beyond on me. they just lost their announcer of 25 yrs. they let him go in a newletters that went out. couldnt even respect Pat Foley enough to do it in person. That organization is is very near the core of this earth. it cant go down much further

the OIL look great. I hope they beat either team next series.

YES I AM ROOTING FOR A CANADIAN TEAM! for the record.

So basically you haven't been a Hawks fan since the high flying Cam Russell and Jim Cummins era.

i have always been a skeptic, but on the day we acquired Fluery, that was my D-DAY.

I think he was our first round draft choice, we gave up Belfour and Hasek for nobody. Zhamnov for Roenick? pfffft

What no mention of Chelios for Anders Eriksson, a 1st round selection (Steve McCarthy) in 1999 and 1st round selection (Adam Munro) in 2001?

Not to mention that Steve Larmer gave up on his iron man streak just so he could force a trade out of there.

Cary K.,

I hate brindy, but what a warrior, and getting the game winner as a capt, is pretty solid.

Oil is nice and rested. I am taken the Oil in 6.

What a pounding the Canes put on the OIL last night. The Oilers looked very frustrated and started taking more penalties, many which were blatant, and could never regain composure. The Canes defense made it much easier for Cam Ward, but he still had an incredible performance.

don't know if anyone brought this up yet -- but the last two teams to knock out the wings made the finals and lost (Ducks in 2003 and Calgary in 2004; both lost in game 7 of the finals too!)-- appears Edmonton wants to keep this string going...

Don't count edmonton out just yet though -- but the next game they must have

Started out with the Blues, on to Philly then traded to the Canes for Primeau.

No Leafs unfortunately.
