its best if you can find a skater to help you in person. its kind of hard to give advice on this over the internet. If you can find a rail about waist high you can hold on to that while doing kickflips to give you more hangtime. it will help build muscle memory. |

I second what The Headless Chicken said, but if you don't have a rail or anything you could take your board inside and hold on to a table or something (on carpet). That's what helped me get my kickflips dialed. |

Think "spread eagle". Front foot at 45 degrees, toes about 1-2" behind the bolts, ball of your foot just slightly over center on the deck, and try and push 45 degrees forward AND sideways on the little wheel contour. Don't do any goofy shitt with your front foot like put it parallel to the deck on on side or something. _________________ http://photos.wakeboarder.com/showphoto.php?photo=11972&cat=513 |

if you keep ollieing north then when you flick your foot off the front lean forward and stay over the board as much as you can and the second you foot is off the board on the front start bringing it up to get it ontop of hte board and just keep doing that and tryin differnet locations of your front foot on teh board till you get it |

i was skating yesterday...and i cant kickflip either...i can varial flip...but still no kickys i know the reason that the board is spinning bs is because of my back foot. but when i try to pop them with out spinning the board back side the board flips but i cant land back on it. _________________ "it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation" |

You moving or stationary? Best way to learn is standing still then go on to doing them while moving. Just ollie and kick your front foot foward, your back foot will naturally come off the board, kick right after you slap the tail, dont wait. everything should come together.
back in the day when I first started skating I couldnt do a kickflip to save my life, then my friend did one and I said "f him, if he can do it so can I." And I did that day.
Get with some friends and learn from them. |
