Chad Fernandez invited us to be his guests at the Toyota Challenge in San Jose yesterday - part of the Mt Dew Action Sports Tour. We had a great time, and since we got to watch from literally ON the course, I was able to get some sweet pictures of him and the other riders. My wife was sitting next to Ryan Sheckler's mom, which was fun too. Anyway - here are some of the photos. I have a TON, but I'll just share some of the highlights....

Nobody asswipe. Chad and I go waaaaaaaay back.... actually I just met him for the first time at dinner the other night.
He's been dating my wife's good friend Vanessa (second pic) for a while now, so they invited us to the comp. He's a real nice guy - down to earth. He stayed completely sober while the rest of us got wrecked at this canjun joint in Palo Alto. Of course, I doubt if any of those guys get drunk the night before a big competition. After all, there's quite a bit of money on the line.
