I am heading to Denver this week to hang out and look around (gf is on business and I am taking the trip to get away from the office) I am thinking of going to look at Pikes Peak, Coors Brewery in Golden, and other interesting places that you guys and gals can tell me about.

I AM going to see the Allman Brothers at Red Rocks on Sunday...so that is going to be the highlight of MY trip..

Are there any suggestions on what to do for a few days to kill time and have fun?

Seven Falls in Colorado Springs.

Tour of the Van Briggle Pottery in Colorado Springs.

You can hit Pikes Peak ( I suggest the train from Manitou Springs ) and the other two in one long day if you want.

What about lodging...I am wanting to stay somewhere that is somewhat accessible to the airport, but a nicer place that has a good background would be nice also.

Denver isn't all that big. You could stay in the Tech Center ( south side ) and still be 1/2 hour from the airport. Some of the places have mountain views also.

You can pm me the address your girl friend is doing business and I can come up with some nearby places.

Of course, the Embassy Suites downtown ( 18th and Arapaho ) is pretty nice and runs around 100 a night. Pretty close to LoDo ( bar area ) and shuttle and down town shopping.

go to Lower Downtown (called Lo-Do if you are a native) and hit the bars. Can be $$, but plenty of tail to look at.

A drive to the mountains might be nice this time of year too, before that crappie white stuff shows up. (We'll be up there all weekend, otherwise I'd offer you a pull around our lake)
