well i would reccomend a tower by far and most people will
the only reason i would get a pylon in your case is money money money
they serve the same purpose or supposed to but some towers serve more purposes,
you have many more options with towers, speakers, bimini, lights, folds down, no strap going across the boat
u also many tiimes find yourself jumpin off the tower, board racks on tower save alot of space
find your self tieing ur fendors to tower, tieing ropes
it's just much easaier the tower
if you have the money go with tower and everyone will reccomend monster tower but i don't think you'll go wrong with any brand name tower just all prefrence

I've installed a pylon because a tower was twice the price...
BUT: if I should do it again, I would go for the Tower!
A pylon takes a lot of space in your boat, you can't put racks on it, you have to set it up before you go (I know, it only takes 5 mins, but still)...
here's a pic of mine so you can see how much space i've lost
But it does the job, that's true...

Tower is obviously better and looks way better, but if money is the key issue go with the pylon. I have used a pylon all summer long and it works great.
I have an extra one for sale also, if you go with the pylon.
