| How many people use a real wakeboard vest instead of a regular life jacket? What kind do you use? |

amayesing23, How long have you been riding first off? I see too many people thinking they need a true wakeboard vest, when a normal vest would do them the exact same. Are you talking about the non uscg cert vests? If so, you dont need to be out there making a fashion statement.
I have two, a Jet Pilot, and a Nevin Swat. Both are non cert vests... But I have been riding for 7, going on 8 years! _________________

I've got the O'Neil Comp Vest but only really coz it looks good and feels comfy. If I was at the stage where I might knock myself out from doin flips, then I'd wear a proper life jacket. |

You dont need a real wakeboard vest. Its just another ploy to make money. Any life jacket will do as long as its lifeguard approved. _________________ 93 four winns

Wow, B_Schall43, are you missing some keys on your keyboard, or what??
amayesing23, You need to make your own decision on whether you want a floaty vest or a not so floaty vest. The Non USCGA vests are typically quite a bit more comfortable, though. _________________ http://www.downsideupvideo.com

You can find CGA approved vests that allow as much mobility and comfort as a non CGA vest. My vest is extremely comfortable and doesn't even come close to restricting my movement and it is CGA, so it is about what you want, and what you feel safety wise, and your own personal preference (and of course your pocketbook's concience )
And like many have said, there is no need for a wake-specific vest until you become more advanced in the scheme of things, and even then it is not necessary, I have seen people rippin on my lake in the orange vests (though, that is friggin awesome ) _________________ Keep Austin Weird |
