Everytime i try to do a handle pass whether bs ollie 180 or bs 180 one wake i can never get the handle to the small of my back to do the pass. I always get yanked backwards and land pretty hard. The handle im using isnt a true wakeboarding handle but i still should be able to do this pass. Any tips on completing this.

You shouldn't have to do a handle pass to do 180's.

Oasis137,

I haven't successfuly landed a bs180 but have gotten the pass across a few times. I think (not enough data to be sure) that I pull in slightly to make it easier to pass across the small of my back.

I remember reading that doing bs 180s off the inside of the wake (out into the flats) was a good way to learn the handle pass. slow the boat down enough so the falls don't hurt as bad when you catch that back edge.

I was just taught how to do Ollie BS 180's last night. Cut out on your heelside edge (Left side for Regular). Cut out hard and then flatten the board and let the rope slacken to the point of almost touching the water. Do your Ollie when the rope is slack and it's less likely to pull you over. You can either land blind and then pass the handle or you can pass it in the air. You can also have the driver turn to the left to keep the rope slack so it doesn't pull you over. I got it first and second attempts but screwed up my timing on the third go. Catching the heelside edge is just a reverse faceplant so maybe you get an extra point. It was fun.

I too suggest landing it blind and then passing it... But, you think you have to practice this so you can land a 360 hp later; so I guess you should start out doing them wrapped... Either that, or worry about the handle pass when you start the 360's... I find it funny though how you pimped out a skateboard with dut tape and shoes though! I doubt you have been riding long enough, but if you happen to have an old wakeboard laying around, you can buy some sandal bindings off ebay for like 10 bucks and just use those on the tramp!

Oasis137, I am scared of trampolines actually... For some odd reason... I think it stems from when I was a child and tried a back flip and landed on my neck... i dont quite remember though!
